Luctocel®

Luctocel is the sodium salt of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), an anionic, water-soluble polymer derived from cellulose. It appears as a fine to coarse, white to slightly yellowish hygroscopic powder, and is nearly odourless and tasteless.

Luctocel® functions as a thickener, binder, emulsifier, stabilizer, and colloidal suspending agent across a wide range of industries. It is used in food and personal care systems for its excellent textural and stabilizing properties, and in pharmaceutical applications as a film-forming, binding, and tableting excipient.
