Xanoluc® (Xanthan Gum) is a high molecular weight exocellular heteropolysaccharide produced by pure culture fermentation of a carbohydrate by the microorganism Xanthomonas campestris. It is water-soluble in both hot and cold water and acts as a stabilizer, thickener, and suspending agent. In personal care applications, Xanoluc® is valued for its high viscosity at low concentrations, pseudoplasticity, and resistance to pH and temperature variations.
